Dr Orla Conlon is passionate about empowering women to understand their bodies and recognise the profound impact gynaecological health has on overall well-being, relationships, lifestyle, and work. She advocates a holistic approach, acknowledging how the menstrual cycle influences every organ in the body. Graduating from Queen’s University Belfast in 1995, Orla achieved her MRCOG in 2000 and became a Consultant in Obstetrics & Gynaecology in 2007. She spent nine years as a Consultant in the Western NHS Trust, also serving as RCOG Postgraduate Tutor, Clinical Governance Lead, and Lead Clinician for the Southern Sector. In recognition of her dedication, the RCOG awarded her Fellowship in 2014. Now the Medical Director of Marble Arch Health, she leads a multi-professional women’s health team with clinics in Enniskillen and Galway. She also performs surgery at Kingsbridge Private Hospital Sligo and Blackrock Health, Galway Clinic, where she sits on the Medical Advisory Committee. Orla’s expertise spans menstrual disorders, uterine fibroids, urinary incontinence, prolapse surgery, colposcopy, recurrent miscarriage, psychosexual disorders, and premenstrual dysphoric disorder. A former clinician in the CARE Unit of the PSNI, she holds a Diploma in Psychosexual Medicine, ensuring a compassionate and individualised approach to patient care. An advocate for perinatal mental health, she co-authored an RCOG peer-reviewed article on maternal depression and continues to champion women’s health through education, research, and social media advocacy.
